I’ve shared a few book recommendations in the past. Here are two more book recommendations I suggest every leader keep close by. If you have suggestions on a good read, feel free to email me.
Million Dollar Web Presence
Million Dollar Web Presence: Leverage The Web to Build Your Brand and Transform Your Business by Chad Barr and Alan Weiss (Entrepreneur Press, 2012)
One of the greatest challenges for anyone engaged in marketing and building a brand, is to the extent and role the internet plays. How much time and capital should be invested to achieve a significant return?
If you use a website as part of your marketing collateral, then Million Dollar Web Presence: Leverage The Web to Build Your Brand and Transform Your Business by Chad Barr and Alan Weiss is a necessary book for your collection. The book addresses common questions like how to integrate social media; how a blog can add (or dimish) value; and what the future of internet marketing looks like.
This is an easy read and the writing style allows for the creation of actions plan in order to move from concept to action.
Risky is the New Safe
Another book I highly recommend is Risky is the New Safe: The Rules Have Changed . . .by Randy Gage (John Wiley & Sons, Inc, Hoboken, New Jersey)
This is a thought provoking read that helps to stretch the imagination. Randy’s views will challenge your perceptions of the world around you, nudging you to consider the repercussions of seeking stability over actively pursuing those ideas that others tend to disregard.
An eye opening read, in Risky is the New Safe: The Rules Have Changed . . .
Randy tackles everything from human clones to social media, to entrepreneurship.
This is a must read for anyone who is or has the desire to lead a company or business. If nothing else it will nudge you out of your comfort zone, which is always a good place to be.
