How to Increase Your Return on Investment

During our annual family vacation to Florida, I was faced once again with the daunting task of renting a car at the Orlando Airport. My experience has been that regardless of the rental car agency we use, it takes at least twenty-minutes to rent a car. The reason is due to a plethora of questions from the agent which tend to emerge whether the car has been booked online or not. It’s the dreaded up sell of services and it comes at a time when you are most vulnerable (i.e. after a three hour flight and while your children are tugging at your shirt).

Have you been trapped in the dreaded up sell? Have you ever wondered why the owners of the rental car franchise would irritate their customers by putting them through such an annoying experience when they are most vulnerable?

The reason, of course, is that the rental car franchise owner is maximizing the performance of their greatest asset, their people. It’s because people are so vulnerable that they allow their agents to up sell services and insurance. Why? Because employees are paid a commission and the more they sell, the more the employee and the franchise owner make. They also know that the service you receive is consistent regardless of which rental car carrier you select, so there are no other options.

Are you maximizing the performance of your employees and achieving a significant return on investment?

If you are a leader of people I would guess that leading, managing and influencing employee performance is one of, if not the greatest single challenge that you face on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

To be effective in managing your time and that of your employees, it’s critical to:
• Increase employee interest and involvement in the business
• Empower employees to take action when necessary rather than wait for direction
• Increase the speed by which decisions are made in the business

The time has come for me to share the very practices that I’ve used previously in leading and managing my employees, as well as the practices that some of my best clients have incorporated. I’ll be sharing these ideas on Friday March 27th in a 60 minute webinar that begins at 12:00pm EST. During the webinar we will discuss proven strategies that support improving employee performance to maximize the return on investment for this crucial component of #business success.

I hope you will find time in your schedule to join me and uncover some proven best practices for increasing the productivity and performance of your employees.
