Continuing from our earlier post on key lessons from our recent Operational Leader webinar “Effective Leadership for Maximum Results”, I wanted to share more of the key points we covered.

We spent some time during the webinar discussing the attributes of the most effective leaders, helping us to assess the gap in our skills and capabilities relative to being more effective (notice I didn’t say assessing our weaknesses – we need to focus on strengths to maximize growth, not remedial work). Here were the top attributes of the most effective leaders:

1. A flexible communicator. Conscious of their preferred communication style and that of others.

2. Ability to engage others in the big picture. They have a vision and can help others visualize the same outcome.

3. They hold themselves and others to account. They deliver what commit to, and expect the same from others.

Watch for more valuable insights from this webinar in future posts. In the meantime, make sure you don’t miss our next webinar “Engage, Manage and Motivate: How to Improve Team Productivity and Morale” on Monday September 23rd at 11:00am EST. Learn more or register by clicking here.
